The Workshop will take place at the “state-of-the-art” Laboratory of OFI (www.ofi.at) to combine theory with practice,
- Walk through OFI laboratory and get an insight on Food Contact Material Assessment, including Migration tests/ Accelerated UV-Testing, this includes different testing methods such as UVB, UVA and Xenon-Arc/ Tensile strength, Elongation and Dartdrop Test
- FIBC Production - from Granule to Final Product
- An Overview of FIBC Types and Their Applications
- Know-how to Prepare a Specification Using a Customer Sample (Exercise in Small Groups)
- Measuring Fabric Grammage (Exercise in Small Groups)
- Correct Attachment of a Liner to FIBC
- Type C vs. Type D: Construction Differences and Safety Aspects
- New Version of ISO 21898:2024 - Impact and Obligation
- Implementation of PPWR / Design for Recycling / Recycled Content Audit
Evening Programm August 21:
- 19:00 -
In the evening, we will invite attendees to a traditional Viennese Heuriger (Vineyard)
for informal networking in a relaxed and authentic atmosphere.
Programm August 22:
- 9:00 - 12:00
We will visit the Starlinger showroom (about one hour from Vienna),
where we will get a general tour of the TEXTILE, PACKAGING, and RECYCLING areas. You'll see modern machines in action, including extrusion lines, weaving looms, and testing equipment. After the tour, we will have an open discussion, followed by lunch. At the end of the program, you can choose to be dropped off in Vienna city or at the airport.
